The Nargis Dutt Memorial Foundation set up by Shri Sunil Dutt in the memory of his late wife the legendary actress Nargis ,which is now being rejuvenated by their daughter, the Mumbai M P Ms Priya Dutt, is expected to help the Indore Cancer Foundation with renewed momentum to be able to achieve a collaborative status of the two.
In a ceremony held at New York, where the official logo of the Indian Institute of Head and Neck Oncology was released by eminent U.S. Surgical Oncologist Dr Jatin P Shah of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer center,(who is a also a member of the Board of permanent Trustees of the Indore Cancer Foundation) Ms Priya Dutt M.P and Mr. Inder Bindra, Chairman of NDMF New York, Mr Peter Bheddah, Co Chairman, Mr Sher Singh Madra General Secretary and Ms Shammi Singh, Dr Chawla, Dr Gupta and Ms Reena Rao (California) key members of the Nargis Dutt Memorial Foundation. They with the help of a core group of volunteers, carried the ceremony to a glittering success. The end result, yet another emergence of strong bonding of the Nargis Dutt Memorial Foundation and the Indian Institute of Head and Neck Oncology. The potential of a growing collaboration.
According to Dr Digpal Dharkar, eminent surgical Oncologist who was awarded the "Life Time Achievement Award for Humanitarian Services in India' by Dr Jatin P Shah , Mr Inderjit Bindra, Mr Peter Bheddah and Ms Priya Dutt at New York on September 25, a international meeting of all chapters of the Nargis Dutt Foundation is expected be held at Indore. The NDMF has several international chapters. The partnership is expected to grow thanks to Ms Priya Dutt.
