The late Dr. Shalini Bhouraskar was a Professor at the Indore University and died of cancer. In her memory, the Vatasala & Narayan Bhouraskar Public Charitable Trust made available her bungalow for our cancer detection and education activities. Doctors associated with the Foundation offer voluntary consultancy services at this center. The Center is equipped to carry out routine laboratory investigations and cytological studies. We also offer sonography facilities at this center. This was made possible due to the kind offices of the State Bank of Indore, which gave us the money to buy the ultrasonography machine. However, the center does not have the full range of diagnostic equipment required for a self-sufficient cancer detection centre. It is still not the comprehensive cancer center of our dreams.
