On 29.07.2012, a programme was held for participants interested in helping create awareness on the preventive aspects of cancer, benefits of early detection and scientific treatment or in voluntary work with patients undergoing treatment or receiving palliative care.

The faculty included Dr. Janak Palta McGilligan, Mrs. Vishakha Marathe, Mrs. Renuka Tarey, Mrs. Chhaya Matange (all successful cancer fighters), Mrs. Suneeta Gupte (Clinical Psychologist), Mrs. Mona Sadawarte (Administrative Officer, in charge School Education, Indian Institute of Head and Neck Oncology), CA Mr. Shailesh Urdhwareshe who spoke on the expenses involved in cancer treatment, Drs. Baldev Dembani, Amit Joshi and Gaurav Gupta.

Mr. Satyanarayen Khandelwal, Permanent Trustee of the Foundation, welcomed the participants and Mr. C M Dagaonkar, Chairman, Planning and Development distributed the certificates.
